How do I book a session with Joy Mitchell Photography?
To begin, please visit the “Book Me” page and complete the inquiry form with your contact information, location, and a brief description of your session or event. Once your inquiry is received, we’ll schedule a phone consultation to discuss your vision and confirm availability.
After selecting your session date and time, a contract will be sent for your review and signature. A $100 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due on the day of the session. Please note that your session is not officially reserved until both the signed contract and retainer payment are received.
Do you charge a travel fee?
Travel fees are determined on a case-by-case basis and depend on the session location. Any applicable travel costs will be discussed during your consultation and outlined clearly in your custom quote.
How many photos will I receive?
Image delivery varies depending on the type of session booked. Rather than setting a strict limit, I provide a carefully curated gallery that reflects the full experience of your session. My goal is to deliver a beautiful variety of images that tell your story naturally and authentically.
When will I receive my photos?
Your edited gallery will be delivered within 2–3 weeks for portrait sessions and 4–6 weeks for weddings, unless otherwise specified in your contract. Every image is thoughtfully edited to maintain a timeless and polished look.
What happens if I need to reschedule my session?
Life happens! If you need to reschedule, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice. One complimentary reschedule is permitted, subject to availability. Retainers are non-refundable but may be transferred to a rescheduled date.
What should I wear to my session?
Once your session is booked, you’ll receive guidance to help you feel confident and camera-ready. I’m always happy to offer styling suggestions to ensure your outfits photograph beautifully and align with your vision.
Do you offer prints or albums?
At this time, Joy Mitchell Photography does not offer print products. However, custom-designed wedding albums are available exclusively within select wedding packages. These albums are thoughtfully curated to tell the complete story of your day and serve as a timeless keepsake of your most meaningful moments.
Album options and details will be discussed during your wedding consultation to ensure the final design reflects your vision and style.
